The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology together with Connecticut State Department of Education and Connecticut College of Technology’s National Center for Next Generation Manufacturing is pleased to present: People, Pathways, and Technology for the Future Manufacturing Workforce – A Professional Development Series for Educators.

This 3 part series will focus on increasing awareness of Manufacturing careers for all students, with a particular focus on increasing access and engaging those underrepresented in STEM fields.

The first webinar will focus on people and you will hear firsthand from women in manufacturing leadership roles about growth in Connecticut companies.

Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz will kick off the professional development series, and our panelists include:

  • Beatriz Gutierrez, President and CEO, CONNSTEP

  • Marcia LaFemina, President, Penn Globe, North Branford

  • Amanda Wiriya, Manufacturing Support Manager, Wepco Plastics, Middlefield

  • Denise Smith, Human Resources Director, Metal Finishing Technologies, Bristol

  • Cyndi Zoldy, Executive Director, MASC, Waterbury
