Call to Action for Industry Partners
Calling All Industry Partners!
We really need you to help guide the work of the college programs that the National Science Foundation (NSF) funded National Center for Next Generation Manufacturing (NCNGM) is serving! Please join us virtually on Friday, December 12, 10:00 am -12:00 pm Eastern Time to discuss several lists of future knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) that you think are needed for graduates from 2-year colleges in the following programs:
Smart Automation, Multi-craft Industrial Maintenance Technician, and Mechatronics.
Smart Automation and Mechatronics are reasonably self-explanatory, and Multi-craft has a broad focus to enable a graduate to perform industrial systems maintenance , to install, repair, maintain, and test a wide variety of industrial systems.
These lists of knowledge, skills, and abilities have already been validated by college teams, and we want to post them for national use after you help us to review them for national applicability. We will be using a variation of the nationally proven Business and Industry Leadership Team (BILT) approach to perform our work.
We will also send you the lists in advance so that you can be prepared.
You are also welcome to invite other subject matter expert colleagues from your company or colleagues at different companies to join us. By helping NCNGM, you will be influencing the talent pipeline being prepared by the nation's community colleges, and that should help fill your company's talent needs as well.
Please register using this Zoom link to accept the appointment for this meeting now! https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/BIxER_zHTZyz2Iu1K9xkhQ#/registration
