The National Science Foundation (NSF)  funded National Applied Artificial Intelligence Consortium aims to foster collaboration among educational institutions, industry leaders, and researchers to advance the application of AI technologies in real-world scenarios, particularly focusing on enhancing productivity and innovation across different fields. This introductory webinar that explores the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence across the manufacturing sector. Designed specifically for community college faculty, it offers a practical survey of key concepts, real-world applications, and the evolving demands of industry. Participants will learn how AI is streamlining operations from design and production to supply chain resilience and discover strategies to prepare students for an AI-powered workforce. 

This Microsoft-sponsored session will be delivered by Black Dog Black Cat, a Microsoft Certified Trainer, and will include Microsoft resources and case studies of companies applying AI in Manufacturing.  

Participants will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts and academic leaders who will share their experiences and research findings related to AI implementation in manufacturing. The session will also facilitate discussions on how community colleges can effectively incorporate AI-related curricula into their programs, thereby preparing students to meet the demands of an evolving job market. The webinar will address the challenges and opportunities that arise from integrating AI into manufacturing practices, including the ethical considerations and the importance of workforce training. Attendees will be encouraged to engage in discussions, ask questions, and share their own insights, fostering a collaborative learning environment that promotes the exchange of ideas and best practices.
