In February 2025, Central Community College proudly launched an innovative and comprehensive four-day course focused on Part and Mold design. This course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills, theoretical knowledge, and practical insights necessary to excel in mold design and production. During four intensive days, attendees immersed themselves in a variety of hands-on activities and detailed theoretical lessons, covering a wide array of critical topics such as the fundamental principles of mold design, the various types of molds utilized in modern manufacturing processes, and the latest advancements in technologies and software that are making waves in the industry. The course included a deep dive into the intricacies of mold materials, design considerations, and the importance of precision in manufacturing. Participants engaged in interactive sessions that allowed them to explore the differences between injection molds, blow molds, and compression molds, gaining a nuanced understanding of the applications and advantages of each type. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the curriculum was enhanced with real-world case studies and practical applications, ensuring that each student understood how to implement them in real-life scenarios. Participants emerged with a solid grasp of the fundamental concepts of mold design and production and the confidence to apply these newly acquired skills in their professional lives.
